Training calendar 2020
Based on current advice and government directives regarding the management of COVID-19 pandemic, AMA Victoria & SIRA have decided that for the foreseeable future the delivery of Impairment Assessment Training, both Core & Specialty training modules, will need to transition from a face-to-face format to a webinar (online) format. We will run the webinar sessions scheduled in November through Zoom.
As you would appreciate, we have made this decision in the best interests of yourself, the facilitators, staff and the community.
Copy of the AMA5 Guides is required to attend the course (except Psychiatry and Visual system – AMA4) buy your copy HERE it won’t be provided.

The successful completion of the Core and/or specialty module/s does not grant participants the ability to perform Permanent Impairment Assessment under the NSW legislation.
Subsequent to the successful completion of the training course, the prospective impairment assessor must apply to be listed on the SIRA workers compensation website. See Eligibility criteria.
- Participants attending Psychiatry and Visual System Modules must bring to the face to face workshop a copy of the AMA4 Guides.
Please bring a copy of the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 5th Edition (AMA5) as it will not be provided. You can buy a copy of the AMA5 or AMA4 Guides by clicking on the link below:
