Module description: 

This module will cover permanent impairment assessment of the Haematopoietic system according to the modified approach to AMA5 methodology set out in the NSW workers compensation guidelines for the evaluation of permanent impairment 4th Edition (Guidelines).

Supplementary Material for online training: This document provides information about the modules. It will familiarise participant with the content to be covered as well as provide an insight into the role of the permanent impairment assessor, methods of assessment & definitions.

PowerPoint slides: The PowerPoint slides discuss the particulars of each module and the methodology to be used.  They follow the pattern of an introduction, assessment steps and the methodology together with case studies to be used as examples.  Emphasis should be placed on the points where the Guidelines modify AMA5. The cases within the slide presentation should be used as illustrations of the WPI assessment and used to supplement an explanation of the use of the tables

Case Studies: A number of case studies will be provided for the participant self-study.

Assessment Task: The competency-based assessment is to be completed in the attendee’s own time after enrolment into the training module. The assessment task is available in the Learning Management System. The participant will receive instructions about how to access the platform after booking into the specific module. The assessment task must be downloaded, completed and submitted for marking through the Learning Management System . The assessment must be submitted for marking by the due date established on the Learning Management System and the website. Assessments will be marked within 5 business days (Assessment due date). The assessment must be completed and deemed satisfactory in order to complete the module.
